With over 50 years of experience in the private sector and consulting, Ronnie Lamb graduated from Aberdeen University with a master’s in business administration (MBA). During his career within the cashmere sector, he has been CEO and COO of Crombie in Aberdeen, Amicale Industries in New York, Mongolamicale in Ulaanbaatar, Feins in Bradford, Gobi Corporation and Blue Sky in Ulaanbaatar and most recently Vice President of Naadam in New York. His consultancy work within the Mongolian cashmere sector has led him to various projects on behalf of the Asian Development Bank, EBRD, SDC, EU and GTZ. Now, Ronnie has moved to working within the Afghan cashmere sector with projects alongside USAID that recently included a collaboration with the SFA to provide the training programmes for achieving SFA certification for Afghan cashmere. His dedication to the sector has also seen him take on roles such as Technical Advisor on the Scottish Woollen Policy Board as well as receiving the Nairamdal Medal from President Bagabandi for services to the Mongolian cashmere sector and now as a member of SFA’s Standard Setting Improvement Committee.
