Dr. Davaajargal Baasansuren

Dr. Davaajargal Baasansuren is a medical doctor who earned his bachelor’s degree at the Mongolian National Health Sciences University before completing postgraduate residency training and qualifying as a surgeon. To broaden his expertise beyond clinical practice, he pursued a Master’s degree in Public and Global Health at Tampere University in Finland. Over the course of his career, Dr. Davaajargal has contributed to a wide range of organisations, including Erdenet City Hospital, Monos Group, the Mongolian Red Cross Society, the International Federation of Red Cross, UNICEF, Save the Children Japan, and Sandoz DD. His work has spanned diverse fields such as medical services, public health, first aid, water and sanitation, disaster management, child nutrition, and equitable access to healthcare. He has played a key role in initiatives such as the vertical expansion of the child money program in Mongolia and the provision of free-of-charge drug supplies for marginalised groups, underscoring his commitment to health equity and social protection. Dr. Davaajargal also brings extensive international experience, having worked in Pakistan, Nepal, India, and Finland. His global engagements reflect a deep dedication to advancing health and humanitarian outcomes across varied cultural and geographic contexts.
