Based in London, Karen has been involved with the SFA since 2022 through her role as Partner & Sustainability Manager at the John Lewis Partnership. She has extensive experience working across raw materials, with a particular focus on certification and traceability. Karen has travelled to Mongolia and China to visit farms and herding communities, gaining first-hand insight into cashmere production and experiencing the supply chain from goat to garment. Her broader sustainability work has also taken her to South Africa, where she explored mohair supply chains, and India, where she gained insight into cotton supply chains.
Alongside her professional work, Karen is a trustee of Uganda Lodge Community Projects, a charity supporting school and community development projects in rural Uganda.
