Una Jones is CEO and co-founder of the Sustainable Fibre Alliance and executive director of the Rangeland Stewardship Council (RSC). Born in Mongolia and based in the UK, she founded the SFA in 2015 to protect rangelands and herder livelihoods. She leads large-scale conservation work, builds sustainability partnerships with global corporations, and champions Indigenous Peoples’ rights, local resource access, and traditional knowledge in the Global Rangelands Standard and conservation policy. In 2025, she received Mongolia’s Order of the Polar Star for her contribution to the sustainable cashmere sector and responsible value chains.
