Dr. Shalini Raghav

Research Manager

Shalini joined the SFA in August 2023, bringing extensive experience as a Program Manager and skills in fund management, strategic development, stakeholder engagement and MEL. With a PhD and M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics, she has worked on various projects and programs around agricultural value chain, climate resilience, gender integration & empowerment, smallholder livelihoods and within the textile and tea sector, aiming to create meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future. In previous roles, Shalini has worked at IDH on their ‘Better Cotton Growth & Innovation Fund’ and ‘Small Tea Growers Sustainability Program’. At the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare in India she worked on the scheme ‘Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture’ as well as on projects for National level research organisations in India. As Research Manager she aims to demonstrate and increase impact across SFA’s work programmes through MEL frameworks, research projects, partnerships & collaborations and provide thought leadership on responsible sourcing to help position SFA as the global authority for sustainable fibre production.
