TRAINING FAQS

Who should attend the training sessions?

Most training sessions are not mandatory for all SFA Members or Chain of Custody Participants to attend. However, we recommend that new organisations to the SFA programme or those interested in joining should sign up to learn more about how the SFA Standards work and ask questions of the team.

As some sessions will be dedicated to different areas of the supply chain, organisations may be more interested in joining one session over another. For example, training on the SFA Animal Fibre Standard will be focused on producers, whilst training on the SFA Chain of Custody will provide useful information to brands, retailers and those making ‘SFA-Certified’ claims.

How are the training sessions held?

The SFA’s training sessions are held virtually via an online webinar. Those eligible to sign up and join the session can do so by clicking the required date and time in the sections above where more information can be found on upcoming training sessions.

How can I register to attend the training sessions?

A list of our upcoming training sessions can be found in the sections above. To register to join a session, select the required date and time to be taken to a registration form. Fill in your contact information and details on the form, please ensure that each person within your organisation is registered individually so we can keep track of attendance and provide follow-up information to each participant as appropriate.

Please note, that the SFA team may contact you before the training session if more information is needed or to confirm if the session is appropriate for the organisation.

Is there a limit to how many can attend a training session from one organisation?

There is no limit to how many members of an organisation can attend a single training session. However, we do ask that organisations provide priority to those most relevant in their organisation, so we can ensure that everyone is given the opportunity to join and participate in the training.
