Willy is the third generation of a textile family from Italy and is the Group Sustainability Manager for the Schneider group as well as senior trader. He graduated at European Business School in London, and built his professional career working in the Schneider Group first in Argentina, where the group manages over 1M hectares of wool farms and then moved on to the head offices in Italy to lead the Sustainability efforts for the whole group. His valuable contributions on different international tables such as UNFCCC working groups, the Animal Fibres Regenerative Working group and Unified Standards Working group for the Textile Exchange, the Sustainable Practices Working Group from the IWTO were instrumental in developing the Authentico Program of the Schneider Group as well as organising Wool Connect, which then evolved into the Natural Fibre Connect. Willy has been a member of the SSIC since April 2022.
